The usage time varies for each individual horse, depending on the purpose for use. Start by using the rug when you are going to be around the horse so that you can monitor the effect of the rug on each horse. Place the TreatmentRug on for half an hour to one hour and feel how much heat your horse generates. This will depend on several factors including the climate, breed of horse and diet. If excessive sweating is taking place, apply the TreatmentRug only for short periods. You may decide that one or two hours a day is sufficient, or maybe you will achieve better results from longer periods of use. On some horses, in colder climates, it is possible to use the product safely overnight, but test the product on your horse beforehand.
